STRUCTURE
Our structure is constructed from a combination of steel and aluminium, giving it an extremely rigid and realistic feel.
The internal sidewalls and ceiling liners are coated in fibreglass rather than moulded from a template, making it feel and sound far less 'hollow' than many of our competitors.
The windows are constructed from high-grade tempered glass and coated with an anti-glare finish.
The simulator has an aft section complete with seating for five people, overhead lockers and window/ceiling liners. Many simulators do not have an aft section, or they have a galley that restricts the view of what is going on in the flight deck.
We believe that customers wishing to bring friends and family to watch should be able to include them in the entire experience.
It also acts as an excellent instructor station for multi-crew training.
AFT STRUCTURE
The interfacing hardware within the simulator is a combination of highly realistic 'drop-in' units from CP Flight / Flight Deck Solutions / Flight Illusion. This ensures minimum 'down' time as the units are constructed out of high-grade material (metal/rubber) and are quick to replace should a problem occur. Units that are more difficult to fix/replace (such as the overheads) are custom developed and have all of their components mounted outside of the aircraft for quick accessibility. In short, the simulator is made to be realistic, to last and to be very easy to fix.
Main Instrument Panel
Metal/fibreglass construction with milled alloy screen frames and High Definition monitors. Analogue stand-by instruments and chronometers. 'Push test' annunciators, warm white backlighting and duel rotary encoders. The MCP has electromagnetic disengage Auto Throttle ARM capability. The CDU controller buttons are realistic to the touch.
Controls
Duel linked yokes with electronic stab trim, R/T buttons, clipboards and realistic loading. Accurate feedback / recentering on the Tiller wheel and rudder pedals.
Center Pedestal
Duel linked yokes with electronic stab trim, R/T buttons, clipboards and realistic loading. Accurate feedback / recentering on the Tiller wheel and rudder pedals.
Fwd / Aft Overheads
Fully operational with backlit analogue gauges and push in / return to center engine start switches.
Visual System
220 degree, 29ft long by 8ft tall wraparound screen with full HD projection system.
SYSTEMS
POWER PLANT
Simulator hardware is just a physical interface of switches and displays. For it to operate as the real aircraft would, it needs a powerful software system behind it.
737 Pro proudly uses the Pro Sim-AR V.2 platform to simulate the mechanics of the aircraft. Every detail is accounted for from noise down to triggered mechanical and electrical failures.
This is supported by the prepare 3D V4 simulation suite, accurately generating the highly realistic 3D environment that the aircraft operates in.
